And I returned again in
1963. It was only then in August 1963 that dear
friends (travelling from Brooklyn to California)
brought me along to the UMC to bid well the CU
Students heading to the March on Washington on
August 29 that would forever be called his
"I Have A Dream Speech". As the CU students
boarded the two old yellow school busses I knew
how valiant they were to make the two or three
or four day journey - in those days there
were few freeways between Colorado and Washington.
And no air conditioning. As they boarded, about
100 supporters including my self (for the very
first time in a Colorado public venue) sang
a very tearful We Shall Overcome.

Yesterday at the Boulder Theater I was again
overcome. Overcome with great emotion and held
my arms high to greet and cheer the insightful
and inspiring John Lewis, Freedom Rider and
Congressman and visionary actor along the long
moral arc of the Universe that bends towards
justice.

I am so glad to return retired in Boulder after
41 years away in California.

Henry Kroll
Silver Sage Senior Cohousing Village
Boulder ColoradoHenry Krollhttp://www.acmecoalition.orgnoreply@blogger.com
